The weather might not let You travel as much as You would like to, but Anykščiai has something exciting to offer even when it’s freezing!
We recommend to visit:
The Treetop Walking Path;
Observation Deck on the tower of the Church st. Matthew’s;
Kalita Hill. In winter it changes into the Ski Centre. Kalita Hill Outlook. Throughout the year there is an alpine coaster track for everyone to enjoy;
COSMOS Milkyway in the Art Incubator. A fine leisure activity indoors.

Places to visit

There will always be activities for you and the children in Anykščiai! If you’re here for the first time, check out our favorite places to visit:

1. At least one museum. There are many of them in Anykščiai. Allow enough time to visit them all! 2. Rain trail. There are really not many people here, so you can enjoy the peace and feel a deeper connection with nature while walking! Open daily from 9 am to 5 pm. 3. View from the church tower. This church is the highest in all of Lithuania! One of the towers has an observation deck from which you can enjoy the beauty of the city. Working hours vary: Monday-Thursday 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Fri-Sat 10am-4pm! 4. Mount Kalita. If the weather is cold and it’s winter, the mountain will already be ready for skiing. But if the snow melts, you can use the toboggan run. Although the toboggan run is open year-round, please note that if the track is icy, it cannot be used. More information – on the website www.kalitoskalnas.lt. Working hours: every day from 10:00 to 17:00. 5. Milky Way “COSMOS” – in the “Arts Incubator”. It’s both fun and interesting here (working hours: daily 10-20).
